Who We Are

Perception

Nothing ever is what it seems. When you think you are up your actually even and when you think you are down, your actually up. Why do we care about what people think? Why do we always wanna make people think that we are doing better than we actually are. In life there are winners and losers and no matter which one you are you will never be happy.

As humans we always want more even when we have it all. I guess when you are used to having nothing you don't really know what you want. Even rich people have problems and worry and contrary to popular belief money does not make everything better. Sure, only a broke person would say that. Things are just things, money is just paper, metal, and information on a screen. People that make more money don't necessarily work harder, they just convinced the powers that be that they are more valuable than the average person, i.e. you. Success in the world is not what you know or who you are, it's how you are perceived.

Enrichment

Babies are born everyday all over the world. Nobody cares. Nobody notices, except for the parents. It only matters if the parents are rich and or famous. Then the expectations are raised. This kid will be the next great, or a great singer or artist because it's in their genes. Guess what, there is a fifty percent chance that they will become who people believe they will be. Partly because of the opportunities their lineage will buy for them and partly because of perception. What if they fail? They will not be allowed to fail. The bar will be raised or lowered to match their skill level.

What if we invested this much hope in every kid born in the world? Whose to say that the son of a lower middle class family can't become world famous. We don't invest in the average child, we assume that they will be nothing because they come from nothing. What do we do? We convince them that they can't, not because of lack of skill, but because of a lowered expectation. Your poor, you will always be poor. Your kid will only thrive if you believe in them and give them the time they need to grow.

Adulthood is measured by childhood. People that are useless and broken weren't born that way. They were raised that way. There upbringing or lack thereof dictates who they will become. If a person is dishonest and shifty, nine out of ten times so are there parents. A person that does't have good work ethic and pride means they weren't taught it as child. Everything we do or say to a child will stay with them and affect them negatively or positively for the rest of their lives.

Long story short, lets put less energy in what we drive or what we wear and start investing in our children. Their futures are a more tangible investment. If we don't teach them the skills they need and make them believe that they can be anything, they will never achieve great things. Instead of giving them everything they want let's work on making them better people. Honesty, pride, ethics, good will and empathy are things that many people lack. Those are the things that they will inherit from us. Without our guidance they will develop opposing traits.
