People Are Never Satisfied

The problem is that they chose not to be satisfied. They could have it all but if it's not what the next guy has, then it sucks. People want recognition and praise, but they refuse to go the extra mile to get it. No one ever gives you anything. I'm here because I chose to be here. Because I chose to sacrifice a lot of things to be here. Now I have to sacrifice a lot more things to keep my place. I'm not obligated to belong. No one owes me anything. I owe myself to make my destiny a reality.

We're all destined to be something. Some of us are destined to be rich, some are destined to struggle. The problem is that most of us accept our destiny as it comes. We never challenge the cosmos to give us the results we really want. Instead we make up excuses and settle for the bare minimum. Sometimes we have to hedge our bets and take what we're given and make it what we really want.

It's like finding Mr. or Ms. right. Most people don't even know what they are looking for. They wouldn't know it if the person was standing right in front of them. They have this convoluted image of what will make them happy. So they make a list of criteria. Things like looks, wealth or even Zodiac sign. Any possible candidates lose out of the gate if they down fit each and every criteria. Then there is this poor sucker who is always there. They listen, they compliment and even offer a shoulder to cry on. They never even get a chance. All it takes is for one of the two parties to think out of the box and look at the other person in a different light. The crazy part is way after the fact the person that overlooked the loyal companion will look back and realize that the person was always there for them and long for their attention.

Then there is work. Work is hard, after all it is work. Anyone can have a bad day. People that complain about everyday being a bad day are making them bad days. Instead of focusing on doing their best and standing out, they complain about doing the least they possibly can. They let one little thing affect their demeanor, then they pass that bug to the rest of the group. Nothing is ever how you want it to be. You can never fix everything in the blink of an eye. you have to look at the big picture and prioritize. Do the easy stuff first. Leave the impossible stuff for last. do the hard stuff at your best pace until it's done. Never stop smiling. The powers that be will notice the person that powers through with a great attitude before they notice the person that starts crying before they even start.
